★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We’re heading into our 8th year at this studio, and it has truly become so much more than a place to dance — it’s become a second home for our daughter. The sense of community here is unmatched, and the teachers have become like family. They care deeply for their students, not just as dancers, but as individuals, and they’ve stood by our girl through both joyful and challenging times. If you’re simply looking for just another competitive studio, this may not be the right fit. But if you’re searching for a place that will help shape your child into a strong, dedicated, resilient, and compassionate dancer — this is exactly where you want to be.A heartfelt thank you to Sally, Kat, and all the incredible teachers for your unwavering support, guidance, and the love you pour into everything you do. We are so grateful.
August 11 · Fabiola Trekomy mom and I LOVED this dance center! I had some of the best memories of my life there! however: through out the years, things started to go downhill. Sally had constantly up-charged my mother for competitions and other ridiculous, made-up ‘fees’. I am aware that other students my age had the same unfortunate experience. I’m not sure what happened in the years leading up, but this place is drastically different now. I’ve experienced extreme body shaming from a select few of my instructors there that affect me to this day. I wish I had something nice to say but we went from being treated like family to complete strangers. I guess greed makes you do shameful things. I do NOT recommend coming to this dance center.
August 01 · Desiree CallahanI am writing this review of Sally McDermott Dance Center as a grandmother of a current student who is a senior this year and has been dancing at SMDC for 14 years here. I can’t say enough about the quality of instruction and positive atmosphere of this studio! The kindness of both the teachers and students is a breath of fresh air in today’s world. The support given from the staff to build each girl’s self-esteem along with their confidence is remarkable! As a retired preschool teacher who has done a lot of observing and spending time at SMDC, you couldn’t find a better studio that is honest, motivating, inspiring, welcoming and encouraging at all levels!!! I highly recommend Sally McDermott to anyone looking for a great dance experience and dance family and they will be sorely missed!!!
August 01 · Mary LazarzSally McDermott Dance Center has been my home for the last 12 years. I have had a wonderful experience with all of the staff! Dancing at Sally’s has made me into the person I am today. I have learned so much, not only about dance, but about life as well! The dance teachers are amazing, knowledgeable, and supportive. The friendships that I have made are irreplaceable; we are more like a big family!
June 20 · Natalie BarrettMy daughter has been dancing at SMDC since she was 2 years old. Over the past 8 years I have watched her skills and confidence grow. The teachers are amazing and truly care about their students. We are so happy we found this dance family and highly recommend SMDC to anyone looking for a dance studio.
