Ellen is amazing! We booked a yoga + sound bath at our home for a girls weekend. Ellen was super responsive and made the booking process seamless, and arrived promptly at our booked time. She was so friendly and helpful in figuring out where we needed to set up space. Most importantly, she led a wonderful gentle flow yoga session tailored to our group of beginners, followed by a relaxing sound bath that truly restored us all after a long night. Finally, she had us set our intentions aloud for our guest of honor which was such a special moment for our group. We really appreciated Ellen facilitating such a relaxing and bonding event for us. Highly recommend, would book again!

Our company had such a fantastic experience with Ellen and The Movement Loft for our annual Wellness Week. Fun place to learn to swing dance! They give lessons, then have three hours of social dancing time afterwards! The one thing to keep in mind is parking, which can be tricky to find the first time. Give yourself a few extra minutes for that, and check the website for details on overflow parking, if needed.

The ballroom is big! It's welcoming for college students and families because it is in an arts center rather than a bar. Also, it is volunteer-run, with plenty of opportunities to volunteer for free admission. I have been volunteering with them for over four years.

As an owner of a pole and aerial studio, I am always on the look out for a product that will help with their training without breaking the bank. We had a great experience at Dancing Angels. Our girls danced there for half the season last fall, and if the drive weren't as far for us in the northern suburbs, we would have stayed. Sunnyvale Dance Academy has been the perfect place for our three-year-old to try ballet and tap for the first time! The SDA is extremely organized and communicates weekly updates to parents. Hannah always answers any question in a timely fashion. Shanda and her daughter are amazing and the dancers love them! The instructors actually teach proper techniques.The recital was organized and beautiful! The costumes and accessories were beautiful and colorful! We are extremely pleased and our daughter is as well, she is already enrolled for the next class.

My 3 1/2 year old daughter just finished her first dance season doing tap and ballet combo class at SDA and had such a great time. She made new friends in all her classes and the recital was so much fun. The teachers here are so patient and really work with the kids to help them grow in their skills. They also are super responsive in communicating and quick to answer any questions you might have. The studio is small but clean and has fun decor all over, it really feels inviting going in. They have so many classes to choose from with different age ranges. The recital was the best and was pretty organized for it only being the second year. You can tell the studio staff really put their all into the production of the recital. I was so impressed at how well my daughter retained the moves and put on the show. I would definitely recommend Sunnyvale Dance Academy if you are looking for an activity for your child to try or to go the long run and learn professional dancing.

My 5yo twins attended Princess Camp here this summer, and it was their favorite thing they’ve ever done! We never had any negative stories when they got home, and there was never any resistance going to camp—which, parents will understand, is remarkable! Everything about this studio makes my heart happy. The passion from Ms. Hannah and the other teachers, the structure and organization of each day, and the training and learning my girls received were exceptional. They performed two dances at the end of the week, and they danced with confidence and poise. We can’t wait for next summer to do another camp, and we signed up for lessons this year as well. Thanks for such a great experience; I had started to lower my expectations for what would be available for my children, and I’m glad the bar has been raised again!

I can’t say enough good things about this studio, teachers and owner. I’m so impressed! My daughters have already learned so much in the 4 months since they opened. My girls love it so much. The best training my kid has received from a dance studio. My kid has progressed so much just in the last year. I am very impressed with the love of dance the staff has and the love shown to the kids. You really become apart of the family. Parents love volunteering and helping out for that same reason. Lisa and Emily are dedicated to providing quality training for all levels of dance and push the dancers to a healthy limit. Long story short, the owner is dishonest. Bought a costume for a dance in December 2019 for a recital in June 2020. My daughter had to drop out for personal reason and we asked for a refund since she will not be in the June recital and the owner said it’s non refundable. That is fine. We asked to be emailed when the costume came in to pick up. We heard through the grapevine that costume were picked up and we were never notified. The owner had given the costume I paid for to another student.

Ballet Reign Academy been fantastic for adult beginner classes! I've taken classes at other local studios and felt very discouraged because the classes were geared more towards those with previous experience, and I felt like I couldn't keep up. At Ballet Reign Academy, Miss Jordan does an excellent job of fully explaining the terminology and describing what muscles you should be utilizing for certain moves and how it should feel in your body. After just a few months, I truly feel like I'm actually learning the techniques and can really see improvement/progress in my dancing! My dance classes are the highlights of my week and I always look forward to them! At Ballet Reign Academy I feel valued as an adult student and it's wonderful to be a part of the Ballet Reign Academy family! I highly recommend other adult dancers to come join the family with me!

Our Deepa mam’s Bharathanatyam class is very energetic and filled with positivity. She always guides kids and adults moves to perfection. She teaches all intricate details so that we all are in sync. She posts and encourages students to participate in competitions and other performances. She clearly organizes recitals and we can see all her efforts in the students performances. She pushes students to complete certifications as well. She coaches students not to just dance but how to do the tala, recite the sollu etc as a whole. She has a positive aura and motivates everyone! My 4 year old has just finished her first full year at Lift in the Tiny Tutus class. She also completed a summer class of Tumbling Tots. They only do one recital in the spring but it was so well done and I was very impressed and could tell the teachers really work with the students to be ready. I loved that they even let the tumblers perform for everyone to see. Pictures for recital are beauitfully done, but I do wish they provided a video of the recital for you to purchase on dvd/Blu-ray. The teachers are wonderful with the children and are so good at keeping them engaged and enjoying their time. They also have done so good with the young students who are just learning to be outside of their parent’s reach. This studio is more structured than others that my daughter trialed at and I think that was what made it such a perfect fit for her. She can be a bit distracted and wild and they do a great job of keeping the class and children on the same note and continue participating in a respectful manner. I appreciate the modesty in costumes and performances that I saw during recital and that make up was not required. My daughter looks forward to continuing on to more classes. I highly recommend trialing some classes and joining the studio!

We've loved going to ballet here. Miss Irina is so nice and my daughter has really enjoyed her teachers as well. I appreciate that they don't ask for anyone to wear make up. The parking lot and the sitting room isn't always ideal as I have to take 2 other little ones with me but I've managed. We will be back!

We love this little dance studio! Both my daughter and I began taking classes here this year. My 3 year old lives for "ballet day" and absolutely loves her Tiny Tutus class. And I love watching her and her sweet friends in class. They find so many creative and fun ways to teach our kids how to love and enjoy ballet. The adult ballet class is one of the highlights of my own week. I'm a ballerina long past her prime, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the heck out of dancing every week. Because you're never too old for ballet if you still love it!

I’ve held off on saying anything publicly, but I’ve been trying to get a refund since JANUARY 22nd, and tomorrow is MAY 1st. That’s more than three months of waiting, following up, and trying to be patient.My daughter made the difficult decision not to continue with the twirl group this year—she’s had a tough time, and we needed to step back. We had hoped to possibly return in the future, but this experience has made that really unlikely.I truly didn’t want it to come to this, but I’m frustrated and disappointed by the lack of response. I’ve never been one to post things like this, but at this point, I just want the refund that was promised.

My daughters have taken ballet here for several years. It has been a wonderful experience. Mrs. Martelly has been an invaluable teacher. If you are looking for your dancer to have the technique and discipline required to succeed in any type of dance genre, I recommend starting here with a classical ballet technique foundation.

We have been at Decatur Gymnastics (previously University Gymnastics Decatur) for a good while now! I have seen my daughter grow in her strength, ability, and confidence! The coaches here are beyond amazing and love their little athletes so much! They even accommodated my daughter when she broke her arm (due to an unrelated fall), the coaches worked with her within her approved guidelines and made sure she didn’t fall behind! I am excited to continue to grow under the new ownership of Coach Cat! I cannot recommend Decatur Gymnastics enough!

Decatur Gymnastics is such a great place here in Decatur. Coach Cat and her staff are absolutely amazing and really work with and care about their students. My daughter has loved working with the coaches here and I have seen so much improvement in not only her skills but her confidence. Can’t say enough good things!

This venue was nothing short but amazing! Mr. Jorge was an amazing host and so was his partner Miss April. They have an amazing space with amazing amenities! The photobooth was definitely the talk of the night! Not only were they amazing host but also very very much interactive. There was not a time that went by that our questions and needs weren’t met. They met our standards and surpassed them as well. We were very satisfied! Go Club 27!

Visited for the salsa lesson / social dance and it was nice! The dance floor and seating area are both two distinct areas with the right amount of space. Really one of the better dance spots I've been to. The lesson was good too. I didn't get any drinks, but they looked pretty at least.

Reasonable price for lessons and open dance ($12 as of June 2025). Kind and welcoming instructors and classmates. There’s an emphasis on being respectful and practicing asking for / giving consent when dancing so it’s a safer environment.

My daughter started taking Karate in August, shortly after she joined their Olympic Taekwondo competition team. The class has helped her gain confidence, self-control, deal with stress differently, I could go on. The instructors are AMAZING!!! They put so much into their students and teach on their level. I joined last month and would recommend this Dojo to anyone who is thinking about taking self-defense.

This is a great place to study Martial Arts! Our family has been working with the karate school for 9 years and we've loved it. The instructors strive to create good character on and off the mat- working on respect, self control, discipline and attitude. Classes offered include Taekwondo, Karate, Olympic Taekwondo, Boxing and Krav Maga. Great for all ages!

Learning Tango which isn’t easy but fun! Beautiful women… problem is learning to lead her. It takes time. Great place, wonderful people who are like a family! His is not some shady place. Mauro aka Federico, is a nice guy and great instructor. Hanging out with everyone is a lot of fun and you meet new people and even other instructors in case you want more instruction. Classes for beginners - Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Also, they had great tango singer with an opera singer the other Friday night. You should visit this place if you are in town, want to learn Tango and be part of the family or just hang out! Oh, the Argentinian BBQ is really good 👍. Visit this place soon!

This place is really cool. We went there for east coast swing on a Tuesday and it was a great crowd. Some there for dancing and some just to hangoutIt was live music and they had lessons before for a ten dollar cover. Definitely worth it. Very cool vibe.

Micah and Emmanuel I cannot say enough good things about this team, Pushia Presentations is responsible for the incredible presentation and dances. It was a 20 ct teenager Quince court, Holy Cow - but Micah and his team kept them in control and focused. I continue to receive calls and text messages about how incredible the presentation was at the Quince, many of my guests had not attended a Quince with professional choreography. The kids Love Micah and his energy/enthusiasm; Micah is professional and fun all at the same time. Pushia Presentations was the best decision for my daughter's special event.

We had the best experience using Quince Dance Academy and will always cherish the relationship and the memories we developed in such a short period of time.The director, Micah, as well as our choreographer, Emmanuel “Emma”, were always very supportive, professional, and responsive during our time spent there.Our Quincenera event was truly the bomb….Emma and his dance crew were “on fire” during our entire presentation. I highly recommend this studio. I have looked into other studios before we came here, and they were very overpriced and were souninviting. Within the first class my child took here we knew this is where we wanted to be. We have been here now 4 years and we absolutely love Miss Kelley and Miss Kara. They are so friendly, family oriented and give off great energy. She offers great classes at reasonable prices and my child is always learning something new. She makes her technique classes fun and mixes it up every class. I wish we would have found this studio earlier.

We have loved being a part of the JDF family! Jen was so welcoming to my daughter and I when are old studio closed unexpectedly and we had to find a new dance home. My daughter was worried she wouldn't be able to compete this year since all other studio auditions were already closed but JDF Studio owner Jennifer let her audition and be part of her company team. Our first year with JDF feels more like 10 years with how close we have all gotten with the studio owner and the other dancers!! We love Mrs. Jen and all the other JDF teachers and dancers! They are definitely our forever dance family!! ❤️❤️❤️

I am literally blown away! We were looking for a new dance home young, experienced dancer; one who would nurture her talent as well as challenge her. From the very first interaction, this team has been welcoming. We’d tried 3 different studios in the past few weeks and my daughter just didn’t feel comfortable. The smile on her face during her first class, taught by the owner I might add, was simply priceless. She was patient and encouraging as well as the other students and welcomed my daughter with real open arms. I’d also add that the diversity was an adding factor. Everyone did not look the same, and that is important to me. If you are looking for a dance studio for your kiddo, this is it.

I’ve been at JDF for 9 years now, and I couldn’t see myself dancing anywhere else. The owner is original, super creative, and goes above and beyond for each and every one of her dancers. The instructors get to know all of their students and treat us all fairly. Even the front desk is meticulously organized and finances are always kept in line, as the person who runs it is a retired accountant. The levels and dance positions are merit based, which means equal opportunity for newcomers as well as kids who have been here as long as I have. I seriously recommend JDF. It’s the best.
