★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have been dancing with ADT for 6 years now and have nothing but positive experiences! To watch your child do something they love, in a supportive environment that allows them to grow, and be surrounded by friends that feel like family — you can’t put a price on that!
December 18 · Katie HarrellMy daughter, myself and a great family friend attended The Nutcracker show this afternoon! We thoroughly enjoyed the performance. I wanted to congratulate all of the dancers! Well done!
December 15 · Anja ArcherWe moved to Atlanta Dance Theatre after my daughter had already been dancing for 6 years. The staff and families at ADT were so welcoming and made us feel at ease right away. Since joining ADT, my daughter has grown so much in her technique, had amazing performance opportunities and made so many new friends. I would highly recommend ADT for both beginners and dancers who are looking for great instruction and performance opportunities!
August 21 · Amberlee MooreWe switched to ADT after my girl tried summer intensive program here this year. She has fallen in love with this studio. It is a very welcoming & family-oriented environment. All of the girls here are caring, loving and well behaved….The studio itself is new, well organized, tidy, and spacious with convenient location for Alpharetta, JC and Suwanee residents. The studio’s artistic director is very professional, patient and always respond to my inquires timely. It is not only focusing ballet but also jazz, modern and contemporary dance. It offers many performances, showcases & competitions opportunities. The studio has great exposure which is part of RDA Southeast regions network. Highly recommend if you are still looking around.
August 29 · Grace ZhangWe sent our daughter to ADT at the Holcombe Bridge location a few years back. She loved dance especially tap and ballet. The outrageous favoritism destroyed her interest in dance so thoroughly that she usually will not even attend a dance performance now.All the dancers were expected to live in the studio. They were there every afternoon and Saturdays. They did their homework in the car and in the hall of the studio. She didn't mind any of that because she loved dance so much. But one teacher began to "confuse" her with another student the same race as our daughter, but otherwise completely different in personality and appearance. Some of the dancers were allowed to bully other students including our daughter. In retrospect, there were signs that something was wrong. For instance, parents (who paid tuition) were frequently disrespected and demands for volunteer work from the parents seemed endless.Another example: there was an incident where the line up of dancers was changed the night of the show, but no one bothered to tell one dancer's mother - who was providing free labor during the show. While working for free for the school, she missed her daughter's performance. Instead of someone from the school offering her an apology, several dancers mockingly laughed at the mother. The last straw was an end of year recital that should have let each and every student have a chance to shine. Instead, it featured choreography so slanted and unfair that some dancers, including our daughter, were not visible on the stage at all except during the entrance and exit. Thus, concluded a year of grueling pointe work - with some dancers entirely hidden from the audience's view during the "dance." We never imagined that a dance instructor would engage in his own form of bullying, but the choreography was an act of cruelty. We regretted enrolling her there or, at least, not moving her to a different school two or three years beforehand.Because I cannot verify that this school now has an entirely new staff and board, with new, strict policies ensuring that every dancer is treated fairly; I cannot recommend this dance school to anyone.
