Choosing a dance school is a significant decision, and for many in the Brandon, Florida area, Dancing for a Difference stands out as the clear choice for a number of compelling reasons. The most significant factor is their identity as a non-profit organization. This structure means their primary goal isn't profit, but rather to serve the community. This ethos is reflected in their affordable class options, which allow children and adults to explore multiple styles of dance without breaking the bank. As one parent noted, this affordability allowed their daughter to "try multiple styles of dance," making the experience richer and more well-rounded.
Beyond the financial aspect, the culture at Dancing for a Difference is its greatest asset. It is a place where students and their families are made to feel like family from day one. The staff is consistently described as loving, supportive, and dedicated to their students' happiness and well-being. They go above and beyond to make accommodations for everyone, ensuring an inclusive space for all. This is not just a place to learn dance steps; it's a community where students "feel a part of" something larger. They build friendships, find role models in their teachers and staff, and grow in confidence. The studio is a certified "Transgender safe space" and "LGBTQ+ friendly," creating an environment where everyone can feel safe and celebrated for who they are.
The variety of services offered is another key reason to choose this studio. From foundational ballet and tap to energetic hip hop and unique lyrical dances, the curriculum is extensive and caters to a wide range of interests. The inclusion of music lessons like guitar and piano, as well as vocal lessons, makes it a true hub for performing arts. Whether a student is interested in a casual class or a more serious competitive program, they can find a path that suits their goals. The flexibility with class times, shows, and fundraising activities also makes it easy for busy families to be a part of the D4D community. Ultimately, Dancing for a Difference is more than just a place to learn to dance—it's a place to grow, to connect, and to become part of a movement that is truly making a difference in the lives of its students and the wider community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been attending Dancing For A Difference for almost a year now and I am just blown away with all the love and support i get from every single member of staff here. It is clear that all they want is for you to enjoy dance, stay healthy, and be happy. They work so hard to make accommodations for everyone who needs them. It is truly an inclusive space and to see it grow everyday warms my heart. I hope to stay involved with D4D for many more years to see it touch the hearts of everyone who chooses to walk through those doors. 💜
September 25 · Kaitlyn ForkHighly recommend this studio… we have been with Dancing for a Difference for almost 3 years now and we LOVE IT! Since day 1 they have made us feel like family, not to mention it’s super affordable so my daughter is able to try multiple styles of dance. The teachers make it very engaging and fun for everyone - this is the reason my sweet girls wants to try it all! We love the variety and flexibility they have with class times, shows, costuming, fundraising, its so much more than just a dance studio! My daughter has a community she feels apart of. She’s made amazing friends, looks up to all the staff and teachers and even me and little brother have built some awesome relationships. We love D4D!!!!
August 20 · Britney GourleyI have four children at Dancing for a Difference and I couldn’t be happier! My younger girls started dancing with Miss Sara when they were two years old. Sara and her teachers have so much patience for little ones! Some days my girls were loving every moment and other days they were typical toddlers and would cry and want mom. I love that the teachers at Dancing for a Difference respected my girls enough not to push them beyond their limits. They understood that kids sometimes have off days and allowed them to come to me when my little ones needed to step away. Through that love and support, my girls developed a passion for dance and now, seven years later, are still dancing (and now competing) with D4D.
September 24 · Natalie CSThis is our second season with Dancing for a Difference. Ms. Sara and her team have all been loving , kind, and accommodating. My daughter is flourishing with her dance training and homeschooling because of their hard work. If you're looking for a dance home, come check out D4D! Thank y'all for all you do!
September 24 · Breonna WoodThis is the best dance place we have been too! My daughter was in All star cheerleader before. She started at the age of 4 1/2 till now at 11. And she always wanted to dance we couldn’t have pick a better place. They are our second family and we are truly blessed to be apart of this wonderful all inclusive Organization.. They make it to where anyone can dance.. They are a 501c3 nonprofit dance studio which makes Dance and Music more available and affordable to all ages and abilities. They make it easy for your child no matter what to be able to dance. My daughter has made so many friends and have never seen her as happy as she is here. The staff and families are truly amazing and always there to make your kid smile.. Super blessed to be apart of them. Definitely would recommend D4D
