★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great local dance company. T h ey have all types of dance lessons and a nice performance area for dance troupes.
July 23 · DAVID GILLI came here for their Sunday evening performance and had a blast! However, I wasn't quite prepared for the drink situation...they sell glasses of wine, but you can't take it into the theater area unless you purchase an adult sippy cup (literally a plastic cup with a sippy lid on it) for an additional $5. It was weird and hilarious and I'm saving the cup for next time! The only negative about the experience was that the theater itself got really warm during the performance - everyone was sweating!
December 20 · Kelly ParasWe attended 4 classes so far with the Saturday morning 9 am - 945 am Move with Me program for kids 1.5-3 years old. Great class but every class begins 10 minutes late and either ends early or right on time. Often the building isn’t open at 9am. After the third class, we called and asked if this was the norm. We got assurances that it was unusual. But the next week, same thing. For $300, we expect class to begin on time. Just when our young one starts to get warmed up, the class is wrapping up. Class is 35 minutes maximum. We were told class will always end on time because there is a schedule of classes they need to keep. Saturday morning 9 am seems to be difficult for folks to make it to work on time after a night out. Too casual of a way to do business for us.
July 08 · Jeff RelyeaThis is the absolute best Dance Africa festival I have attended in terms of the representation of the African Diaspora and the caliber of performances. I was also impressed by and appreciated the educational presentations that provided cultural history and context. Superb!!!!
June 04 · Diane KernDance Place is one of my favorite establishments in DC, period. Their site schedule is diverse and offers something for everyone and they really focus on local talent which is special. The classes are also great, quite varied, and the space is good for beginning and intermediate class.
