★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The guy that is repairing my guitar was super helpful and very friendly. I didn’t catch his name but he was wonderful to work with. Today was my first time walking in and I was treated very well. I would definitely recommend them just based on how I was greeted when I came in.
September 02 · Michael LeeEllington Studios is an awesome place for folks who want to learn music, vocals, percussion, guitar, piano, etc! just an amazing community asset here in Angier!
December 03 · Addison AllgoodGreat studio, great community of people! My son has been taking guitar lessons for a few months and loves it. They sell affordable used instruments for when you are starting out. They put on great events and have awesome live bands that play locally.
November 20 · Robert PenkalI started taking guitar lessons here when I retired and felt like I finally had the time for it. Starting as a complete beginner and continuing for 3 years, I can't believe how far I've come! I left my first lesson knowing how to play one of my favorite songs. After several months they put you in a band with other students of about your same level. Four times a year they have concerts, 2 at their outdoor venue and 2 on stage in the studio. The first show I was so nervous I didn't think I'd even be able to play a single note, but started our set with the opening licks of Sweet Home Alabama all on my own. By our last show, 12 shows later, I really never even gave a thought about being nervous. Rick and Landon are excellent guitar teachers. I've learned music theory, pentatonic scales, how to create your own solos and most importantly that the songs and solos you've loved from your favorite artists are no longer a mystery. There are patterns and reasons for the particular notes they play and they teach you these things by the songs they have you learn. Does knowing and realizing these things make you a great guitar player, absolutely not. You must do your part. They provide you with the tools you need in a fun environment and provide patient and kind instruction, how good of a guitar player you become depends on how much you put into it. The knowing there is a show coming up every 3 months adds much incentive to putting the time in to improve. For anyone who really wants to learn to play, guitar, bass, drums, piano, keyboards or voice, Ellington Studios is the place to learn. Don't be afraid to take the plunge, they make it fun and relaxed and you'll gain some great friends along the way!
October 30 · David McKnightGuitar Repair ExperienceI recently began frequenting Ellington Studios and realized in addition to studio offerings and lessons - they also had a work bench setup for repairs.Trust me when I say this Ibanez, though not worth many $1,000's was extremely beat up over years of use, completely unplayable and had great sentimental value to me.I left it in the hands of Ezra (hope I spelled that right, if not lemme know and I will correct! Praise should highlight the person earning it). He took a brief time before contacting me, providing me a solid quote and agreeing to a timetable. Very professional and understood the importance of the instrument to me.2 weeks passed and I just went to pick it up. She lives, is playable once again and honestly made me one of the happiest musicians in many years. I highly recommend going to Ellington for any of your repair or setup needs, down to even intonation. The repair work was done professionally, on time, no extra charges (many will do this, running up a tab on unforeseen expenses)... A+++++ service. Thanks Rick! Ezra! Ellington Studios!
