What is worth choosing?
For families in Minnesota looking for a summer camp or year-round activity center, Jam Hops stands out as a top choice for several compelling reasons. The most powerful testimony to our value comes from our loyal members, who see us as "a good place to get your child involved." Our ability to provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment is consistently praised. As one parent noted, the staff is "super friendly," and our atmosphere is designed to make every child feel welcome and encouraged, regardless of their skill level or background. The fact that we offer classes for "toddler to teens and both boys and girls" ensures that every child in a family can find something they love.
The quality of our instruction is another key reason to choose Jam Hops. Our teachers are not only talented but also "great and involved," ensuring that students receive the best possible guidance. The studio's commitment to allowing dancers to have a life outside of dance is a significant benefit for families. This policy provides a healthy balance, preventing burnout and encouraging children to explore a variety of interests. This flexibility is something that sets us apart from other studios that may require a more rigid commitment.
Finally, the strong sense of community is what makes Jam Hops a true "second home" for our students. Our positive and welcoming environment, where "all dancers are usually spotlighted in some way with their talents during routines," fosters a sense of belonging and confidence. Our commitment to being an inclusive and safe space for everyone, including the LGBTQ+ and transgender communities, further solidifies our position as a leader in community-focused recreation. While there may be a lot of great options in the Twin Cities, Jam Hops offers a unique blend of professional instruction, a supportive community, and a wide variety of activities that make it an exceptional choice for families.
In conclusion, if you are a Minnesota resident seeking a recreational center that prioritizes your child's well-being, growth, and joy, Jam Hops is a fantastic choice. Come join the "Jamily" and see for yourself why so many families have made us their go-to place for fun and learning.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A good place to get your child involved...Our family and friends have been members of Jam Hops for a couple months now. There are classes ranging from toddler to teens and both boys and girls attend, so yes your child will be able to find something. Most of the facilities is reserved to the massive gymnasium, but there are small classrooms where small groups attend. The place is available for birthday parties for your little one.Overall the place is nicely maintained and the staff is super friendly. My biggest complaint is that the classes are too big sometimes and there isn’t match seating for parents.
May 01 · Brian and Carin CallAfter switching around looking for what was right for us we settled on JHDCo after 8 years across four studios. We had taken gymnastics, summer camps, done birthdays there but never dance. We were very pleased with both the tween rec and the competition level classes. Teachers are great and involved. All dancers are usually spotlighted in some way with their talents during routines. We like they allow dancer to have life outside of dance. Dancers are allowed to do school events, dance team, other sports, family vacations..etc. It makes a nice balance. The new addition should help with the issues of limited space for both dance and gymnastics. We are happy to be in the Jamily.
December 07 · Jennifer BranchawAn excellent environment (coaches, teammates, other parents) that has continued to help build confidence, and interpersonal relationships, all while fostering their athleticism and the art of dance. Our initial introduction to Jam Hops was in 2014 for kids gymnastics, then we took a break and returned in 2018 for recreational dance. We’ve since gone in all out with two kids doing full-on completion dance because of the positive experiences all around.
December 14 · Catherine BreiwickWe love Jam Hops! My son and daughter have been in many different classes/levels over the last 15 years and have enjoyed each and every one. They’ve been in parent/tot, beginner, intermediate, advanced, boys, homeschool, ninja, and all the way up to XCEL Platinum. Jam hops has been a huge part of their lives and I’m thankful for the positive experiences they’ve had there.
December 07 · Stacie ArnesonWe have had such a nice experience at Jam Hops! The coaches have been so intentional with my daughter. The pace of the classes and way they present the skills is amazing! My daughter has learned so much and is more confident in her abilities each and every time! Thank you!
