Okatie Youth Ballet Reviews
My daughter has been at Okatie Youth Ballet since she was 4 years old and she is now 11. Over these years, she has grown as a dancer under the guidance of her wonderful teachers. Laura and her teachers are not only fantastic at what they do but they are also kind and loving. My daughter is always happy when I pick her up from dance and for me that says it all.
May 20 · Sheila SmithI’ve just graduated from OYB and I can confidently say that I wouldn’t be the dancer I am today if it weren’t for this studio❤️ Mrs Laura gives her dancers so many opportunities that would be hard to find anywhere else. I’ve been able to learn how to choreograph and teach a dance class. I’ve also had the privilege of working with my peers to coordinate a community service event. The event allowed kids with special needs to take a free dance class at the studio. I am a dance major at the University of South Carolina this Fall and I feel confident going into this program because of the experiences that OYB has given me. I will cherish the memories forever ❤️
August 15 · Brooke McCollamI have been to several performances at the Okatie Youth Ballet and each one is better than the one before. Truly enjoyable. The sets, the lighting, the music and the performances are top notch. The toddlers are the cutest performers. Mary Poppins, the last one I saw was a masterpiece!
August 01 · Priscille PappalardoLove the performances! My husband and I always look forward to them. The last one was Mary Poppins in May 2023. The costumes were so colorful. The prop use with umbrellas and ribbons was visually stunning. The dances were well choreographed. And how lovely to see the little ones start on their dance journey. So very cute! The older dancers on pointe are so graceful and talented. It is mesmerizing to watch. I was very happy to see a young man performing with the group. He is fabulous to watch. What a talent!I am also impressed with the teachers. They are so careful with their students. At the end of the performances come the gifts and roses. It is such a sweet moment for the teachers and dancers. Practice for the performances takes great effort and dedication. Beautiful acknowledgement at the end of the show for the hard work! The director speaks so kind when doing announcements. She is loving and kind with the little ones. What a sweetheart!I almost forgot to mention Steps of Praise dancers who are beautiful to watch. Their costumes are flowy and light. Love watching their creativity set to music. My husband and I are glad to have this talented group in our community. We look forward to the next performance in December. Keep up all the good work!!!
