★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1By far the best and my favorite dance studio in Miami! The environment is always positive and inclusive! Everyone is welcome! I’ve made so many friends and Susie is an incredible mentor. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to dance with her and Show Stoppers talented community!
July 10 · Karina RodriguezI’ve been dancing at this studio for a while now, and I can confidently say it’s the most welcoming and professionally run places I’ve ever trained at. The staff is not only incredibly skilled and passionate, but they also create an environment that’s warm, supportive, and inclusive for dancers of all levels. It’s unfortunate that not everyone sees or appreciates the heart and dedication that goes into running a space like this. I’ve learned that sometimes reviews say more about the reviewer than the actual experience. Every aspect of this studio is amazing from the staff to the atmosphere, the best studio you will ever find.
July 10 · Talia RakotzShowstopper studio has been such a blessing. As a person and a dancer it has allowed me to continue to grow each day. The staff and teachers have also done an exceptional job in training, managing, keeping the place clean, and making sure every individual has a great experience.
July 10 · Erin GolburghShowstoppers Miami is truly a gem. I’ve been dancing all my life and only joined this studio about a year ago and I’ve learned more in that one year than I’ve ever learned in the past. This studio has grown me as a dancer and has also grown my confidence in dancing as well. This is a great space if you really want to push yourself and see yourself grow into not only a strong individual, but a strong dancer.
July 10 · Jordis MesaIn the beginning, I was genuinely excited to be part of what seemed like a positive, creative space where dancers could grow and express themselves. For a while, it felt like I had found that. But over time, that excitement began to shift into confusion, disappointment, and concern not just for myself, but for the many others who came and went quietly. There’s something unsettling about how many dancers have passed through this studio, only to disappear without much notice. How many people were sold a dream that, in reality, was not what it seemed? How many gave their time, money, and trust to a program that promised growth, only to feel unsupported or disregarded? My own experience in the company program revealed a lack of consistency and clear communication. Rehearsals were often scheduled at the last minute, with the expectation that everyone should be available regardless of personal conflicts or health. Even when dancers were visibly sick, the culture discouraged rest or absence. This mindset is harmful and needs to be addressed within the dance industry as a whole.More seriously, I was told by multiple individuals that during a recent season, a dancer simply tried to explain their absence and was told to "shut up" by the studio owner. That is never acceptable, especially in a space where dancers are also paying clients. What message does this send about respect or professionalism? And why did no one in the room speak up? What is the example they’re setting for future rehearsal spaces ? Why is this happening? There were also ongoing concerns regarding financial fairness. During this season, the studio owner mentioned to her company that they were going to take “30 second videos” and if they weren’t able to afford it that they can split the price with a friend: dancers were told they could split the cost of participating in a studio video project, only to later be charged the full amount individually, without explanation. Meanwhile, another dancer was allowed to participate for free. When this dancer was going to shoot the video, the studio owner rudely said out loud “but you didn’t pay!?” IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. This dancer mentioned to the owner what the original terms were when she brought up the idea of the video shoot: When questioned about the change, the response was simply, “things change.” These decisions not only felt unfair but also left dancers feeling misled and undervalued. I was told you could almost hear a pin drop in the room when she said “YOU DIDNT PAY” in front of the whole team. It seemed to be a money grab when I heard about the situation. Very unfair and pretty rude: bad customer service.Others were charged an additional $300 (on top of their $299 tuition) to perform in the end-of-year showcase, regardless of how many routines they were actually placed in. During this year’s performance of “The Lunch Table,” many company members paid the $299 without receiving any additional rehearsal time or benefits. Aside from sitting in the audience to support the number, some were left wondering what exactly their investment had gone toward.Favoritism is another issue. Certain dancers are consistently prioritized, while others are left out or overlooked. Some of the most favored dancers have privately expressed serious doubts about the studio’s environment, but continue to stay silent, likely out of fear of losing opportunity or access.I am writing this anonymously because that same fear is real for me too. The dance world can be small, and honest feedback is not always welcomed. This review is not meant to be cruel. It is meant to inform. If you are thinking about joining this studio, ask yourself the following. Will I be treated with respect if I speak up? Is this a space where fairness and communication are truly valued? Will I be investing in a program that puts the well-being of its dancers first?Dancers deserve safe, consistent, and supportive spaces to grow. I truly hope that becomes the standard here moving forward.
