★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our family adores Tutu School in Cary. We've been attending for >6months and have watched our daughter grow into a confident and capable little girl. The staff are accommodating to our needs and welcoming. In these littler classes, the kiddoes don't need to "get it right" but rather to learn how to move their bodies how they feel most comfortable to music. We love that each class has a mix of activities and languages. My daughter is learning how to listen and express herself at the same time and it has been a lovely journey.
March 19 · Kate HoyThe Tutu School of Cary has surprised me in the best way. I'm not a girly girl. I'm not glitter and tutus. But somehow my daughter is - full glamour. But even I a semi-crunchy nature loving person have enjoyed the Tutu School of Cary. My daughter is in the 3 to 4 class and this is what we love:- Clean bright welcoming space- Half wall to view into the classroom space for parents- The instructors are ALWAYS bright and loving to each student. Even if things with a class of 3 year olds gets a little chaotic they somehow take it gracefully in stride. It's actually very impressive how skilled they are in working with young kids.- The instructors ask consent before touching any students to help them into a pose. They might say "May I touch your feet to help you make a pizza slice? (for first position)". This is so important for children to learn and it does not go unnoticed by me.- No dress code and if you forget your ballet slippers they have some you can borrow.- They make it fun! It's a mix of learning traditional positions and what you think of as traditional ballet to dancing like butterflies or dancing happy or sad, fast or slow, like various animals, etc. They keep the class moving quick with different activities.I especially liked how when the girls sit in a circle the instructors are careful to make sure it's an actual circle and that no child is excluded. I think this is so important because girls especially need to learn to be aware of this at young age. So I appreciate that circle time does not go forward until each child is comfortably included in a spot in the circle and the instructor helps facilitate this. It's a small step that could easily be looked over. We've enjoyed it greatly and I would recommend!
March 16 · Sarah LeeTutu school has been SO much fun!My daughter started when she was 2 and it has been so enjoyable to see her learn, get up on her tippy toes and twirl! We’ve had the absolute pleasure to dance with Miss Ricky and Miss Mayerlin on Mondays and Fridays and they are both equally wonderful. Such a sweet activity for parents and kids alike!
January 31 · Kyrstin Brianna DraneyMy daughter Aubrey is loving Tutu school! I wanted to take a minute to say how much we love her teacher Ms Ricki. She does such a great job of encouraging the kids, but also understanding it can take some kids longer to warm up. Thanks for giving the less outgoing kids room to dance!
March 18 · Amber HinsonWhat a wonderful place for our little girl to express creativity, appreciate art through stories and movement. Can’t ask for a better place as parents! The dance studio itself is so magical. Wait till you meet and get to know the teachers, they are the true treasures. That’s what our girl loves the most, her teachers. She looks forward to seeing them, write letters (draw) and takes lots of pics with them. We love tutu school ♥️
