When considering Dance With Me, New York families often weigh the convenience and cost against the quality of the instruction. On one hand, the studio's local presence and "Mommy & Me" program make it an attractive and easy-to-access option for parents with young children. The wheelchair-accessible entrance is a significant benefit that demonstrates the studio's inclusivity. The recitals, though sometimes criticized for their length and cost, provide a valuable opportunity for children to perform and for families to celebrate their child's efforts. The studio's pricing is noted by reviewers as being relatively low on a monthly basis, which can be a deciding factor for some families.
On the other hand, some feedback from the community suggests that the quality of instruction and customer service can be inconsistent. Parents have noted concerns about class structure and the perceived lack of technical progress in their children. The high cost of recitals, including costumes and tickets, is a frequent point of contention. However, it is important to remember that these are aspects that any consumer should consider and inquire about before making a commitment. For a family whose primary goals are to find a fun, local activity for their child and to get them comfortable with group settings and performance, Dance With Me is an option to consider. It is worth noting that every family's experience will be different, and the studio's strengths, such as its location and accessibility, may outweigh the reported drawbacks for some. For those seeking a professional dance education with a strong emphasis on technique and a wide variety of genres, a different studio may be a better fit. Ultimately, the decision of whether to choose Dance With Me depends on the family's specific goals, expectations, and priorities for their child's dance education.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you’re looking for a dance school that’s close to your child’s school and doesn’t cost too much, and if you genuinely have no other expectations, then “Dance with Me” might be a good fit. They charge $65 or $85 per class, depending on the package, and classes start late, end early, and seem poorly structured. Half the class time, teachers are busy with who knows what, and kids are left jumping around aimlessly. When it comes to feedback, be prepared for a less-than-welcoming response. Any questions or concerns from parents are typically met with, “If you don’t like it, leave!” And if you dare to follow up, you might even receive a message implying you’re the problem. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. On top of that, costumes are extremely expensive, and parents are required to buy tickets to the most boring performance ever. It’s clear that monopolizing a market does not improve quality.
November 05 · Evgenia ZakharovaThis dance studio is not very expensive where monthly fee is concerned but recitals is a whole different story. If you want your child to learn to dance take him/her somewhere else. Kids in this studio spend their time goofing around and learn nothing. But you have to hand it to the owners, they know how to organize recitals. They prepare it like it's a Broadway show, except there is no content. Kids don't know how to dance, the choreography is mediocre at best. After spending hundreds of dollars for costumes and buying tickets (yes, you actually have to pay to watch your own child perform) you are compelled to sit through the most boring show of your life. The studio makes it its duty that every class prepares two dances, as the result the show drags for hours where you watch 2 or 3 moves repeated in different combinations by all the classes. Like I said it lacks basic choreography. Most of the kids can't even memorize their routines so the teachers stand in front of them and gesture all the moves with their hands. Pathetic.IMO the studio should cut their ambitions and mind the cost. Make the kids to learn a single dance but do it well. Drill the children, don't just let the kids do whatever they want in class. Hire somebody who at least knows choreography. Keep recitals brief, don't inflate with competition team's routines, parents come to see their own child to perform first of all. And change the venue, Kingsborough College is too expensive and totally not worth it.
December 27 · Aleksey RozentulerThis Dance School got me into the Joffrey Ballet, and I’m a proud dancer of them for 10 years now! The teachers and owners treat us all like family, and I have never felt so loved! Great Dancing School!
April 03 · Ella BMy daughter is 7 and has been going here since 3 years old. Such a loving and caring environment. The teachers make it fun and keep the children happy and engaged.
February 23 · Diane RiveraI think this is an amazing dance school. My cousins came to this school and so have I. It is really fun and the teachers are amazing.
