What is worth choosing Morton's Dance Center is a matter of personal priorities. For many, the studio’s veteran-owned status and its explicit commitment to being an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space are key differentiators. This dedication to inclusivity is a powerful signal that the studio values and respects every individual, creating a place where diversity is celebrated. The wide range of services, from beginner and adult classes to a competitive team and private lessons, means that the studio can accommodate dancers at every stage of their journey. The availability of onsite parking and flexible payment options also contribute to a seamless and stress-free experience for families.
However, it is also important to consider all available perspectives when making a choice. Some former students have shared experiences that highlight potential areas for improvement, such as concerns about communication, the handling of peer-to-peer relationships, and the management's response to negative feedback. One former student, in a public review, noted that they felt the environment had become unhealthy and that their well-being was not prioritized. They mentioned feeling a heavy burden of responsibility as a student leader and experiencing bullying that they felt was not properly addressed. This individual, who had been a part of the studio for a decade, ultimately chose to leave and found a more supportive environment elsewhere. It is worth noting that this former student also claimed a previous negative review had been deleted, an action that may or may not be confirmed.
On the other hand, a dancer who has been with the studio for almost a decade expresses a completely different sentiment, praising the “unparalleled” style, level, and talent of the instructors and expressing hope to continue dancing there for years to come. This review suggests a deep satisfaction and belief in the quality of the instruction.
Ultimately, the decision to choose Morton's Dance Center should be based on a comprehensive understanding of what the studio offers and what is most important to you as a dancer or a parent. The studio's stated values of inclusivity and community, combined with its diverse class offerings, make it a compelling option for many in the Hershey area. At the same time, it is always wise for prospective students and families to have a direct conversation with the staff, ask specific questions about the studio's culture and policies, and perhaps even observe a class to get a firsthand feel for the environment before making a commitment. This approach can help ensure that you find a dance home that aligns perfectly with your goals and values.

Morton's Dance Center Reviews
studio
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1After dedicating a decade to Morton’s Dance Center, I made the difficult but necessary decision to leave during my senior year. This wasn’t something I took lightly, especially after dedicating so much time, energy, and love to the studio. But over time, it became clear that the environment was no longer healthy or respectful, and I had to make a choice that protected my well-being. As a Legacy team captain, I was regularly expected to take on leadership roles that went far beyond what’s reasonable for a student. I often ran rehearsals, managed other dancers, and held things together when the coach wasn’t even present—all without any kind of pay or proper recognition. I was committed and gave everything I had, but that effort wasn’t met with the support or respect I needed. On top of that, I faced ongoing bullying from peers, which was rarely acknowledged or addressed. Rather than stepping in to create a safe and respectful space, the coach often seemed more interested in my personal life than in standing up for me when it actually mattered. After leaving and joining a new studio, I finally saw what a healthy, well-run environment looks like—one where dancers are valued, supported, and treated with respect. It confirmed for me that walking away was the right decision. This is my second time leaving a review, as the owner and studio director deleted the original Google account that included other negative reviews. I feel it is important to use my voice and share my experience to help inform other families. I strongly urge parents to consider other options when choosing a dance studio for their children. Your child deserves to grow in a space that values both their talent and their well-being.
