Orlando Ballet Introduce
For residents and visitors of Central Florida, the name Orlando Ballet is synonymous with world-class artistry, discipline, and community. More than just a dance company, Orlando Ballet is a cultural institution that serves the region by providing not only spectacular performances but also a comprehensive school dedicated to training the next generation of dancers. Situated in a beautiful and easily accessible location in Orlando, it is a hub for artistic expression and physical fitness for people of all ages and backgrounds.
The mission of Orlando Ballet is deeply rooted in a commitment to excellence. As a professional company, it presents a diverse repertoire of classical ballets and innovative new works, captivating audiences with breathtaking grace and technical prowess. The company is committed to making ballet accessible to all, and its performances are renowned for their high quality and emotional depth. Beyond the stage, the Orlando Ballet School is a vital part of its mission, offering a wide array of classes for both children and adults. The school provides an environment where passion is nurtured and talent is meticulously developed, from the very first steps to advanced training.
Orlando Ballet is also a space for community building and a welcoming environment for everyone. It is identified as LGBTQ+ friendly, a testament to its inclusive philosophy. The variety of classes, from performance-focused training to recreational fitness options like "Fitness Thru Dance," shows a dedication to serving the wider community. One customer's review highlights this positive experience: "The instructor was so kind and patient with all of the students. Afterwards I had a chance to meet some of the staff and take a tour of the beautiful property. The entire experience was certainly memorable and I look forward to visiting again soon." This feedback points to the welcoming atmosphere and professional staff that make for a positive visitor experience.
However, it is also important to acknowledge that, like any large institution, there can be areas for improvement. A recent review raised a serious concern regarding child supervision, stating, "It is unsafe to drop off children at this school... she was left completely alone in the lobby." This feedback is a crucial reminder for parents to be vigilant during drop-off and for the organization to reinforce its safety protocols. Despite this, the school is designated as "good for kids" and offers discounts for children, indicating that it is generally a positive and engaging place for young learners, with a commitment to providing a valuable experience.

Choosing the right dance company or school in Central Florida is a significant decision for both aspiring dancers and patrons of the arts. Orlando Ballet is a clear choice for several compelling reasons. The most prominent is its dual role as both a professional dance company and an educational institution. This unique combination means that students at the Orlando Ballet School are trained in the same building where professional dancers rehearse and perform. The proximity to professional artistry provides unparalleled inspiration and a tangible goal for students to strive for. The quality of both the performances and the instruction is exceptionally high, solidifying its reputation as a premier destination for dance in the region.
Furthermore, the organization's commitment to accessibility and community is a major selling point. The positive review from a visitor who attended a recreational class and praised the kindness of the staff highlights the personal touch that makes the experience memorable. The thoughtful amenities, such as multiple parking options and a fully accessible facility, also make it a stress-free and convenient choice for families and visitors. The fact that the school offers discounts for kids makes world-class ballet education more attainable for local families.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently attended the Fitness Thru Dance class and had a wonderful time. August 19 · Joe GonanoIt is unsafe to drop off children at this school. On our very first day, I came in to observe my daughter who just turned five and, thank God, I did—because she was left completely alone in the lobby. Not a single teacher or staff member noticed that she was sitting unattended in the section where she had been directed to wait. This is an extremely unprofessional and unsafe environment. I cannot, and will not, leave my child here unattended under these circumstances.Immediate action must be taken to ensure that children are properly supervised at all times, especially during drop off.
August 21 · Notary GenieWent to an Ultra Beginner Fitness through Dance class here for the first time ever this weekend. It was amazing! It was my first ballet class ever and even though it was fast paced it was still so fun. Everyone was nice and I didn’t feel out of place. The teacher gave a lot of great cues for total beginners. The facility is just beautiful! The staff are all nice and helpful. As soon as you come in there’s someone to greet you and guide you to the correct place. I parked along Alden Rd. There’s a lot of street parking there.
September 22 · Claudia VillarroelI have been taking adult fitness through dance classes here for years. The teachers are always excellent, but the administration leaves a lot to be desired. The classes are too full and it is easy to feel like all you are is a doller sign to the studio. Any criticism is met with passive aggressive or patronizing behavior. The teachers are worth, but if there was another option for adult classes in town, I would take it in a heartbeat.
July 14 · Jennifer SilvermanI watched Giselle and was so blown away by their cast’s amazing talent and grace. The show was so wonderfully made.
