RACE Dance Collective Introduce
RACE Dance Collective, standing for the Radical Application of Creative Energy, is a dynamic and essential cultural institution within the Oklahoma City community. Far more than just a place to take a class, RACE is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, a professional dance company, and a highly inclusive dance school. Its core mission is to ignite social awareness and change through the powerful mediums of dance performance, education, and deep community engagement. By offering a multi-genre approach, they ensure that the joy and discipline of movement are accessible to everyone, from absolute beginners to advanced pre-professionals. Their popular "RACE the Space" adult classes and dedicated Youth Academy programs have helped build a vibrant, interconnected dance culture right here in OKC. Furthermore, their commitment to social awareness means their professional performances—ranging from modern and contemporary works to their signature "Hip Hop Nutcracker"—are designed to provoke thought and foster dialogue on important community issues. It’s a place where dance is truly treated as a communal language that unites, uplifts, and celebrates diversity.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This dance studio is fantastic! What makes it good for me is as a beginner learning hip hop they have entry level classes for me, PLUS advanced classes. If you can’t attend every week it’s okay cuz each class is it’s own dance moves! I’d fully recommend no matter where you are there is a friendly, helpful dance teacher you can learn from at your current level.
November 16 · Rae RykerThe best place to learn, refine, and let loose those dance skills. Absolutely love the classes, instructors, and vibes
May 23 · Jackie GalindoI dropped in for a Beginner’s Jazz community class, and it was SO fun. Very welcoming, professional, and engaging for all skill levels. Loved our instructor! Definitely try it out!
February 25 · Alicja CarterYou guys! This is the most fun and best dance school I've been to in a long time! I was temporarily in OKC for 2 months and I went to the tap, hip hop, k pop, and irish classes! I was a little worried at first because I'm 39 had neck surgery and was very out of shape, but i was motivated! I was afraid everyone would be so young and advanced that I would feel out of place. I was pleasantly surprised to see people of all different ages and abilities in these classes. I felt at home and so comfortable here. It really led to a lot of confidence and fun. You should really try these classes!
June 20 · Julie BI’m so grateful to have come across RACE while re-discovering my love for dance! What they do for the community is so admirable, and the variety of styles/levels they offer means anyone is welcome and able to benefit from the amazing environment of a RACE class! Can’t wait to go back!!
