The Everybody Dance Project Introduce
The Everybody Dance Project is a dance school located in Portland, Oregon, with a unique mission to make dance accessible, fun, and low-stress for young, beginning dancers and their parents. This studio was created with the specific goal of providing a different kind of dance experience—one that focuses on joy through movement rather than on high-pressure performance or competition. For Oregon families seeking a relaxed and friendly environment for their children to take their first dance steps, this school offers a compelling alternative. It is a place that aims to instill confidence and strength in each student through engaging classes that promote socialization, coordination, and fundamental dance knowledge. The studio keeps things easy for parents by simplifying the overall experience, and its focus on fun ensures that kids look forward to every class. While it may not be the ideal fit for those seeking a highly rigorous or technically focused dance education for very young children, it excels at providing a positive and nurturing entry point into the world of dance, where creativity and enjoyment take precedence. The school's founder wanted to create a space where parents felt comfortable bringing their kids to give dance a try, and this philosophy is evident in its relaxed atmosphere.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Really wanted to like this place. Administration is friendly, but my kid was so sad here. I would say it is not appropriate for younger kids.
July 09 · Isa MostachettiThe staff is friendly, but the instruction is lacking, at least for young children. I wanted a real dance class, but it was more of “fun time” where my 3 and 6 year old would be told “good job” after doing the move incorrectly or avoiding it all together. Many older high school dancers and instructors were out of shape, so I found that odd. If you are looking for a more relaxed studio with friendly people, this is it.
January 03 · Ashley CrawleyIDP is a great studio, wonderful for young kids. The dance instructors are extremely positive and keep my kid wanting to come back!! They are accepting of everyone and set great examples. Love this place.
February 10 · OOGA BOOGAMy 7 and 4 year old loved classes at IDP! They offer great camps during school breaks and have excellent COVID safety protocols.
January 10 · Krista WIt's SO MUCH fun dancing here! Everybody is so nice and you make lots of friends!
