Children's Center For Dance Education Reviews
My grand daughter takes dance there and has learned more than dance. Self confidence is a big one. Thank you for what you do.
May 21 · Ron RieckenMy daughter loves dancing here and has a lot of fun. But we actually chose CCDE because Ms. Deena provides a classic style of instruction from her own experience as a world class prima ballerina. Emphasis is on self-discipline with personal responsibility while also working with others. Through this my daughter is challenged to develop physical technique, mental stamina, and an inner drive to succeed when challenged. Those skills will stay with her for life.
October 01 · Rebecca BenigniCCDE is an amazing organization! The skills and character my Son is building extend way beyond the studio. Modeling healthy habits and providing a platform to bring Ballet to the Community... I am proud to be part of this CCDE family.
October 06 · lila catesMy daughter and I have been involved with this organization for several years now. It is amazing for me to see how much she has learned and grown thanks to instructors at the CCDE. We look forward to many more years of ballet with the CCDE.
October 27 · John LaFiefLoved it at first. Only because how happy my daughter was to learn ballet. After a few classes of creative movement something was up. Lily seemed to not stay focused..got discouraged. And that happens. So we worked on it..we practiced together. She did everything great when we practiced! Back in the class not as well. My gut told me Deenas teaching methods just werent up my ally. And thats okay. It works for some kids but not for my daughter. My intuition was confirmed when the teacher got frustrated because my daughter was watching her instead of herself in the mirror. She takes it upon herself to grab my daughters head and yank it towards the mirror with force! Then 10 mins before the class ends lily was waving at me through the window..i tried to tell her to turn around. She knows better..and it is unnacceptable. But she yells at my daughter..humiliating her..and from that point on till the end she had her head down..you could tell she was discouraged..she wasnt doing as well as before..no longer having fun..stayed behind at the end of class. When i went to get her she started crying her eyes out! "Mom i was confused!" The Deena has the nerve to have lily come over..show her the sticker and say " im gonna give this to your mom" then looks at me and says, "and she can decide if she wants to give it to you or not" 1: Do NOT touch my child. 2: Do NOT tell me how to raise my child. And 3: you should feel ashamed of yourself for stepping those boundaries. So now we are at Evansville Ballet! Guess what? She listened the whole time because they grabbed her attention in the RIGHT way. You dont talk down to kids..you communicate on the same level. Treat them like they should know what you are talking about. Have high expectations so that they have higher expectations for themselves! Your old methods aren't working anymore. Also..i met multiple parents who left because of ms. Deena. I can see in the reviews they never spoke up. So now you know.
