★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We love the Dancing in the Streets family. My girls just did their first performance in Nutcracker and were so excited to be part of such a fun and inclusive show. Parents are very involved and Joey and Soleste are fantastic teachers that make ballet fun, especially for the little ones. This is a non-profit and they are extremely supportive of all the kids they teach.
December 30 · Kacey ErnstJoey and Soleste have created an environment for those who may not have been exposed to the Arts. Seeing a Black man teach ballet in Arizona is everything. Mr. Rodgers captivates young dancers and challenges them to greatness. Unfortunately, they lack professionalism and decorum. After years of accepting these behaviors, I realized the vision doesn't out weigh the the damage being done to young dancers.Joey becomes frustrated and yells at the dancer until they are in tears. Soleste gossips about the dancers, and I know far too many personal things about all the families. They publicly humiliate and shame students, one time ywlling in front of the studio "your on schoalrship, and it's a privilege for you to be here because your Mom can't afford it!"Soleste is the epitome of microagression towards BIPOC folks, while Joey proudly uses abliest language to describe their "all inclusive" atmosphere. They constantly wonder why they are unable to attain new talent or keep talent. It's nothing personal, I just realized we can no longer sit silent and except the bare minimum.
May 10 · Brandy ColemanWe have both daughters enrolled and we are beyond pleased with everything they've learned these first 4 months and they are only 2 and 5! Our oldest definitely has become obsessed with the art and will be returning! We love the diversity and Mr. Rogers enthusiasm. Joey and Soleste are amazing humans. Thank you for all you do!!!
December 29 · Melinda DavilaMy daughters started classes at age 3. There couldn't be a better place to build their ballet and dance foundation. The directors and teachers make it a joy to be a part of. My girls love DITSAZ!
October 05 · Sandy EmersonAs a pediatric physical therapist, I am so happy to see a dance studio incorporate EVERY body in to a production. Everybody can dance and have fun and perform! The Nutcracker production was absolutely spectacular!
