Don’t trust the hype on their website. They don’t offer cheer or teach Any genre of dance. DRC compete in majorette dance, but don’t teach it.This studio will accept Anyone who will pay tuition & pay for over charged costume fees. The owner collects the money for everything & pocket the difference so parents don’t know how much they’re really paying for anything. I visited this studio 3 times during visiting hours & the owners were Never There. It was hot AF, those girls danced in a warehouse that doesn’t have AC. I overheard one Parent say that the owner only show up for fittings & when tuition & fees is due. Another parent jokingly said the owner don’t know nothing about what goes on in the studio unless it’s about money. Apparently they get “dance moms” to run this studio. During their practice I watched dancers stand in the back clearly lack confidence. I asked a parent what days did the girls train because it looked like they were only practicing a dance routine. The dance mom explained that after every competition, all of the girls are taught a new dance routine. They practice the routine, then they have cuts…🤔 there is no time set aside for Development, Technique & Training for the dancers to fully learn to execute techniques, so the main roles always go to the older dancers that DRC trained yrs ago & to new dancers that learned techniques from a Another dance team… Which explained the lack of confidence from many of their dancers. By the time I finally spoke to the owner on the phone, she claimed that monthly tuition includes travel + technique. She lied just like I was told she would, lol. She really made it seem like tuition covered the dancers learning majorette technique, but I had already visited the studio & witnessed the truth. I had already spoken with other parents. I couldn’t have been anymore uninterested. The parents were right about The veteran dancers Carrying This Team! The owners of this Studio are oblivious to the damage they cause to their dancers self esteem in exchange for parents money, or maybe they just don’t care. Even If DRC were to hire a dance coach. They’d likely charge more money for services that Should already be included in tuition cost in the first place, before they consider including any training in the tuition cost. Basically parents are paying over $150- $240 a month just for their kid to be On DRC dance team. A dance team that’s Not invested in teaching him/her how to dance. The fact that other parents are allowing this Is Insane!
