★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Lee is a fantastic teacher who knows his stuff and works to make your dance experience tailored to your vision. Scheduling is flexible and the classes themselves are fun! After just a few lessons my fiancé and I felt like we had made incredible strides to improve our dancing and generally feel more comfortable on the dance floor. We highly recommend Lee even if you aren't planning a formal first dance. There are great takeaways for having more fun dancing in general.
July 14 · Brendan SalvoLee and Christine are the best dance instructors hands down. They are both excellent people and help build confidence for those who have little to no experience. I am extremely grateful I took their intro class before my wedding. My wife and I really looked forward to classes every weekend.
July 11 · Brady LawsonWe had a fantastic experience working with Lee for our wedding dance. Neither my wife nor I had any experience ballroom dancing, and we were just looking for something fun and different for our first dance beyond the default rock & sway. Lee did an incredible job making us feel loose and comfortable each class while we stepped outside of our comfort zone. He worked at our level every single class and never tried to throw too much at us, nor teach us anything he thought we couldn’t handle. We definitely had fun at each of our weekly lessons, and our first dance turned out great! Our guests were surprised (in a good way) and seemed to enjoy it – and we had a blast, ourselves!Lee taught us how to dance, not choreograph our wedding song. We very much appreciated this distinction, as we learned moves that we can use beyond just our wedding. If you are looking for a fun weekly activity with your partner to relieve some of the stresses of wedding planning, we highly recommend Beginning Ballroom! We will surely explore their group class or private date night lessons in the future, but the wedding dance prep experience was very enjoyable!
June 03 · Peter NemiaWe took 10 lessons with Lee in the run-up to our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! Going from absolute beginners to learning the basics and some simple turns gave us a lot of confidence and made our first dance look a lot more elegant than it would otherwise have. We also earned a lot of compliments and cheers from our guests! Lee is a patient and personable teacher who makes learning simple and fun. We appreciated his approach in teaching us both the minor (technical) steps, and the bigger picture (why), behind each move, while giving us the freedom to set our own pace, and choose how and when we wanted to do certain moves. He also always reminded us that the most important thing in learning to dance and preparing for our first dance was to have fun, not to impress any dancers in the audience, and his fun teaching style reflected this. Would highly recommend Beginning Ballroom for anyone preparing for a first dance!
November 02 · Steven JerjianWe had a great experience with Lee for our wedding dance. We both have some experienc, and wanted to make our first wedding dance very special. He gave us a ton of advice, on a schedule that worked for us, and was very fun to work with. Our dance came out wonderfully, and we had so much fun we're continuing with some more lessons even post-wedding.
