★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Milwaukee ballet is a prestigious institution of classical dance and has been a staple for our public year around since the 1970s. They have an artistic director who brings an incredibly detailed understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion. With the finest facility in dance, I’ve ever seen to date. They have three locations for programming with all impeccable leadership and staff! Being that I’m blessed to be able to work as a team member with so many of them! From being the only African American dancer on scholarship in the entire academy to being on faculty. The ballet continues to be a trailblazer for change in dance all over the globe. Any student will have the finest arts education and a comfortable learning environment!
April 19 · Madyun WilsonKrikaoli recommends it! It is a must-go place! Every tourist and native inhabitant should have this great experience. The building is very modern, with substantial, large spaces, comfortable and clean. The staff is very gentle and professional. I went here to see the Nutcracker and it was a remarkable show.
December 15 · Cristiano Caiado De AcioliThis place is a wonderful ballet school. My daughter has been attending since we moved here last year and it has been a wonderful experience.
January 28 · Kathryn O'DonnellTook a tour of this building and it’s rooms for dancing seems like a nice set up an upgrade from their old building.
October 03 · Andy Fallon (LT Fallon)Let me paint you a picture—imagine an evening where every pirouette tells a story and every note from the orchestra resonates with your soul. That was our unforgettable experience at the Milwaukee Ballet's recent rendition of Dracula. As a parent, it's a proud moment when you see your son on stage. Remi Wagner, who's part of MBII, didn't just perform—he lived through all three acts. The gleam in his eyes and the commitment in his every move were a testament to the brilliant training he has received at the Milwaukee Ballet. The choreography, masterfully designed by Michael Pink, was nothing short of magnificent. It was as if the dancers were paintbrushes, and the stage was their canvas. The fluid moves, coupled with the eerie, yet captivating storyline, made the choreography both gorgeous and creepy. It's a paradox that only a genius like Michael Pink could pull off.And can we talk about the costumes and set design? Stunning doesn't even begin to describe it. Imagine stepping into a world that's hauntingly beautiful, where every thread, every prop, and every piece of scenery builds on the story's dark allure. The orchestra, ah! They were the invisible narrators, bringing Bram Stoker's tale to life. The music was so in tune with the narrative that you could close your eyes and still feel the story progress, heightening every emotion and capturing the essence of each scene.Saving the best for last—Davit Hovhannisyan as Dracula. To say his performance was mesmerizing would be an understatement. This was Davit's final career performance, and oh, what a way to cap off an illustrious journey! His portrayal was a masterclass, capturing the torment and charisma of Dracula with sublime elegance. If I could give this performance more than five stars, I would. It was an evening that left us spellbound, drawing us into its dark, fantastical world, and releasing us back into reality only after the curtains closed. Catch it if you can, folks. It's not just a ballet; it's a storytelling masterpiece.Bravo, Milwaukee Ballet. Bravo!
