For families in the Livonia area and across Michigan, this studio represents a place where dancers are not just taught steps, but are also given the tools to grow as individuals. The mission of the studio, now under the direction of Miss Jean's daughter, Arnell St. Juliana, is to foster a love for dance while helping students acquire valuable skills and confidence. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My two daughters dance here. Since starting at this studio I have seen my oldest daughter's love for dance grow. She use to not like ballet but after her first class with Ms. Arnell she was hooked. For me a big part of finding the right studio is that my daughters are happy and growing as people and dancers. This studio is it. I am so proud of the skills they have acquired and their growth as dancers. The staff here is great. I can see that they truly love what they are doing. All dancers are valued regardless of skill level. They all received the same time and effort from all staff member. This is very important to me because sometimes when you are at a larger studio it seems like your child can be over looked. The small environment of Miss Jean's gives the chance for staff to get to know their students and give them what they need to grow in their dancing.I can see my daughters' growing her as they get older and am happy to have them be apart of such a loving and encouraging studio.
September 11 · Joseph Stromski IIWe come to miss jeans for summer class and the kids loved it there. They leaned so much in the summer that we started class this year. The teachers are amazing and have so much knowledge when it comes to dance. Can’t wait to watch the kids grow even more as this year continues.
September 11 · alyssa barkerMy girls are starting their second year here. They have grown so much since starting. The dancers are learning discipline and hard work. The staff is kind but firm. They care about the safety and growth of dancer. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.
September 11 · Sarah ForsterI love the first review. A rant and rave about how horrible this place is and how terrible all the owners, instructors and staff are and a god Bless at the end. Not ironic at all.The truth about this studio is that it teaches the dancers about discipline. That's what dance is. So the instructors can be firm. If you are looking to have your child coddled, don't enroll in sports or dance, or theater or anything else for that matter. Keep them at home away from society so that they are not harmed by anyone or anything. Yes, dance is expensive. So is hockey and having a child for that matter. If you aren't willing to pay for costumes, find another activity. The instructors are very knowledgeable and take very good care of their students. Are their favorites? Sure, but it's no different than everyday life. The instructors and staff get to know the dancers that take more classes, it's pretty normal considering the amount of time that is spent at the studio. The more time you spend with someone, the more you get to know them. The banquets and recitals are very nice and well run. I wish they would start on time, but I haven't missed my daughter's performances yet.We picked this studio after looking at about 12-15 others because they teach the Cecchetti style and they have the instructors who cared the most toward their students. It has been a great experience so far for my daughter and she continues to love it.
December 31 · Mike CurrieI grew up dancing at Miss Jean's and recently came back to take classes as an adult. The home of the Livonia Civic Ballet Company offers the Cecchetti ballet method. Miss Jean's offers smaller class sizes providing more one on one time with the instructors which is wonderful. With smaller class sizes you also build close relationships with other students providing a family felt atmosphere. I can honestly say I have personally built friendships within the studio allowing me to have life long childhood friends who I still keep in contact with today in my now thirty's. Miss Arnell, Kelsey and Jillian are a true joy to be around.
