★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I first joined moxie back in 2019 I believe? It was pre pandemic before everything shut down. It was here that I found my love for yoga. I had just recently been diagnosed with Lupus and other autoimmune problems and was needing to find a way to calm my nerves and help my body. Lindsey was the one who taught me yoga for the first time, and how to breathe. That first class stuck with me and carried into years later when I decided I loved the practice so much that I wanted to teach others….so I got my 200 hour YTT cert. Lindsey sparked that interest within in me, and last year in 2024 she gave me the opportunity I had been needing to teacher train alongside her and finally find my voice to be able to share this practice with others. I will never be able to thank her enough for the gift she has given me and the gift she gives to everyone else on a daily basis. She is a one of a kind human being and a great business owner who treats her members like family. She knows everyone by name! It’s special and I hope to be half the teacher and person she is one day. Moxie and FORM wouldn't exist without you Linds. Love you!
April 06 · Stephanie TaylorI absolutely adore Moxie! The instructors are not only incredibly friendly but also amazing at what they do. Their motivating energy keeps me coming back for more each week. The atmosphere is so calming and welcoming, making every session a joy. I feel truly blessed to have found this gem of a place!
April 02 · Zykia ClarkNew update: Lindsay did email me after my review and I was returned my $100. She states it was a mistake.*Update: I didn't visit this studio, but it’s owned by the same person. I want to clarify my experience with Lindsey. All I’m asking for is my $100 refund. I was happy to pay the $250 shown on my account, and no one is upset about the cancellation fee. However, the owner claims the cancellation policy, including fees and time windows, is clearly outlined in the membership agreement, but it’s not. I reviewed it today, and it’s missing. It’s unfair to change the cancellation fee price after the request. The cancellation fee shouldn’t change without notice after a cancellation request. I requested to cancel through the app, which showed $250, and today I was charged $350. I’ll update if this is resolved, as I hope it was an honest mistake, but it wasn’t transparent.*Long story:I used to love this studio. Steph's classes were fantastic, and she is absolutely AMAZING! Melanie also subbed once for Steph, and she was wonderful too! The flow of their classes was great, and I truly enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, my relationship with this studio has ended due to their new cancellation policy, which is downright punishing to customers. When I first started, I could choose to attend classes on Mondays and Thursdays at 6pm. However, they changed the Monday class to a foundations class, leaving me with only Thursdays. At first, there was a 2-hour window for cancellations, meaning if you canceled within that timeframe, you’d lose your class but it was a fair system. Now, they’ve changed it to a 12-hour window. If you cancel after that, you lose your class pass and they charge you a $25 cancellation fee. Even worse, if you're on the waitlist and get into a class after the 12-hour mark, you’ll still be charged the fee if you need to cancel. It feels like they’re just trying to make money off of people who can’t predict their schedules.I reached out to the studio and spoke to the owner, Lindsey, who gave me a rehearsed speech about having to treat everyone fairly, despite it only being a few bad apples. While I understand the need for policies, this new one is unreasonable—especially when, in my line of work, I often don’t know my schedule 12 hours in advance. And 6pm is the only time I can attend!Lindsey also claimed that other reformer studios have the same policy. That’s simply not true. I called several other reformer studios in different areas, and none of them had such a stringent policy. She even compared her policy to those of doctor's offices, which I found odd and irrelevant to the situation. When we spoke, I made it clear that I was planning to cancel, and she encouraged me to give the new policy a chance. Here’s where it all went downhill: Before speaking with Lindsey, I checked my account multiple times to confirm the cancellation fee—each time, it showed as $250. I even told a friend that the fee was $250. But when I woke up this morning, I found $350 had been withdrawn from my bank account for the cancellation fee. This is unacceptable! They don’t send you a copy of the agreement with the cancellation fee, so you’re left relying on what they "show" you online, which can clearly change without notice.I would be extremely cautious about doing business with this studio. They can change prices without warning, and, in my case, I was charged $350 instead of the $250 that was clearly listed when I first checked. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the way they’ve handled this, and I will no longer be recommending this studio to anyone. We will be taking our business elsewhere. There is nowhere in their printed policy that clearly outlines the cancellation fees. It’s only visible on your actual account, and they’re clearly changing the policy whenever they see fit. Shady business all around!
May 06 · Natosha PowellI am newer to the studio about 2 months now and it was the best thing I ever did for my mental and physical health. The teachers and other members really make you feel welcome. It is the first place I have felt so included and supported on my health journey Moxie is a gem, don’t miss out !
August 19 · Natale MolinaroGreat instructors, professional, friendly, great customer service, affordable! I was hesitant and worried that I would not be able to keep up. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. Now, I enjoy it so much and feel so much better (body and mind). I really miss it when I can't get there. I've lost inches and built strength in my legs, upper body and core. Things that used to hurt, don't hurt anymore. I love Moxie and know that I'll be practicing for life!!
