More than just a place to train and perform, NPDT is a community built on the core principles of inclusivity, health, and passion. Its leaders are deeply committed to ensuring that dance is a wholly positive and joyful addition to one's life, rather than a source of stress or physical distress. This philosophy sets it apart from many traditional dance companies, creating an environment where dancers can thrive both artistically and personally.

The artistic directors, Julia Wilkinson Manley and Chris Harris, alongside their team, have successfully created a safe space for all persons to create art through movement without judgment. They have a clear and bold vision to establish a place where every individual, regardless of their race, gender, ethnicity, age, ability, special needs, or experience, feels included, respected, and encouraged. This dedication to diversity and acceptance is a key part of the organization's identity and a source of deep appreciation from its community members.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had the pleasure of dancing with New Paradigm Dance Theater this year, and I simply cannot say enough good things about this organization. Its leaders are dedicated to prolonging dance careers and making dance a wholly positive, fun addition to one’s life rather than a stressor, a cause of physical or mental distress, etc. All of their work goes into producing top quality art while maintaining a community of healthy, happy dancers who are accepting of one another and embrace the opportunity to train and perform in this art form.New Paradigm is truly unique. Having grown up with the directors from age five, I can confidently say that this is where you want your children, your friends, your community members- finding their way in dance. They create a pathway for everyone to feel included, respected, challenged, supported, and encouraged. In more than 13 years of knowing Artistic Directors Julia and Chris, they have taught me discipline, strong empathy and compassion, fierce curiosity and love for the art form, and they have instilled in me a passion for serving communities for the greater good. That is what NPDT is doing, that is why NPDT is more than a dance company.
June 01 · Sophie TrojanowskiCo-Artistic Directors Julia Wilkinson Manley & Chris Harris and Marnie Rundiks (whom oversees the daily operations of New Paradigm Dance Theater / Colorado Movement Lab) are those rare truly quality persons you don't come across often in life. The same goes for Kerry Healy (faculty, marketing) and Adrienne Adams (operations / accounting). These 5 women are the founders of New Paradigm Dance Theater / Colorado Movement Lab. Their intent was to create a safe place for all persons to create art through movement without judgment regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, age, ability, special needs or experience, etc.AND, they have succeed in establishing just such a place, where diversity is embraced, in a BIG way! Thank you for being bold for those of us who aren't and having the vision to establish something different and better. It is appreciated and relevant in the world we live in.I am a forever fan!
March 17 · Jen PriceI saw the New Paradigm Dance Theater production of The Nutcracker at the Northglenn Community Center. It was one of the most fantastic things I've ever seen. The costumes, the choreography, the interpretation, the dancers, everything was top notch and made me feel good to belong to the human race. Brought tears of joy to my eyes in spots. I hope to see more.

February 03 · Meredith McCannTHIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. If you are at all thinking about putting your kid in dance, dancing yourself, or looking for a new studio, this is the place. Both of my daughters are students here and are THRIVING. Julia and Chris provide a safe and accommodating space for dancers of all types, ages, and skills. And of top of that, they are both incredibly talented and knowledgeable themselves - focusing on health, body positivity, and form. Stop in and they're likely to give you a free class!
