★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First off it’s the only gym that we have been enrolled in with my daughter (5) so I can’t compare it to others in the area. The gym is huge, the staff has been extremely helpful and patient with the kids and toddlers. They are professional and I have seen Alison interact with the staff and clients which is nice. It’s worth trying and see if your child sticks with it.
July 17 · Ralph FerrellMy daughter has been attending ABG for over 5 years. She started in rec classes and is now on the team. Every coach we have had has been phenomenal! You are not forced to be on the team and if you do choose to, you have options that allow your child to be in other activities. She has learned so incredibly much! We love ABG!
June 16 · Kelli FloderGreat gym, amazing staff. Awesome place to bring your kids to learn gymnastics!
June 19 · Lydia StantonWould not recommend for younger kids. My daughter went here at 2-3 years and the class was ok. She improved on some skills but there was a lot of disorganization. When we rejoined after taking the summer off at 3.5 years, the class was chaotic and the instructors couldn’t handle the kids. All of the instructors the entire class ran after kids, ignoring kids like my daughter who followed instructions. My daughter barely got any practice and wasn’t taught any new skills. All of the instructors are young kids themselves who are mostly in high school and don’t know how to handle this age group. I’m giving two stars instead of one because I think the instructors do the best they can with little to no instruction themselves on this age. My daughter loves gymnastics but asked that we stop going here.
November 20 · Mariah UnterzuberThey do not offer tumbling, but offer preschool gymnastics for ages 2-4. The staff was great with my 2 year old even though she was highly upset most of the time and just wanted to do her own thing. Either my husband or I was always there with her so staff wouldn’t have to deal with a screaming toddler on their own. With that being said, the owner came up to me after I had just finished taking my child outside to calm down, and told me I needed to take her outside to calm down when she’s upset. I LITERALLY JUST DID THAT! Then she told me I couldn’t have her running all over the gym. She wasn’t, I just put her down while we were talking RIGHT THERE and she was running around me because she’s a 2 YEAR OLD TODDLER! I convinced her to refund us the rest of the sessions because it’s always my toddler having a tantrum the whole time. I think she’s just too young. The more I think about how I was treated by the owner, I’m upset. I handled it well there because I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of kids. I’m doing the best I can to deal with calming my toddler down and help her to learn. She treated me like I didn’t know how to parent my own child and that what I was doing was wrong. I was doing the best I could and you can’t tell me that in a class FOR 2 YEAR OLDS that they all sit on a mat to warm up and perfectly follow directions. I’m happy with how the staff treated us, but as for the owner, maybe you should consider raising the age if you can’t deal with toddlers being toddlers. We won’t be back after being treated like that. I would highly discourage anyone with a toddler who isn’t yet in preschool from trying this program.
