Blairsville Dance Project Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Located in the scenic North Georgia mountains, the Blairsville Dance Project has established itself as a vibrant and integral part of the local performing arts scene. This unique establishment functions as both a dance school and a performing arts group, offering a diverse range of classes that go beyond just basic dance steps. The studio is dedicated to providing quality instruction in a supportive environment for dancers of all ages and skill levels, from young children taking their very first class to adults looking to learn a new skill. The atmosphere is one of community, encouragement, and a shared passion for the art of dance.
The Blairsville Dance Project’s mission extends beyond technical training. The staff is trained in teaching a "growth mindset," a key component of their curriculum that encourages students to believe anything is possible with focused effort. This philosophy helps dancers not only improve their skills but also develop life-long qualities such as confidence, discipline, and creativity. A testament to their positive impact, one student shared how the studio has been a "huge part of my life for many years," praising the incredible atmosphere and knowledgeable teachers who are "always working to make this studio a better place."
While the majority of reviews for the Blairsville Dance Project are overwhelmingly positive, highlighting a family-like atmosphere and commitment to their students, it is important for prospective families to consider their personal values. One review from a parent expressed concerns about what they felt was inappropriate choreography, music, and outfits for younger classes, and a culture that they described as "college girl in the club" in a hip-hop/urban Nutcracker performance. This perspective is balanced by other testimonials that celebrate the professionalism, encouragement, and the positive, family-oriented environment that the studio fosters, where dancers feel loved, trusted, and motivated. This variance in experience highlights the importance of individual fit and personal preferences when choosing a dance studio.

Blairsville Dance Project Reviews
My wife’s review isn’t showing because apparently it has “inappropriate language”according to google - perhaps it’s because she went into great detail explaining what we found to be inappropriate for children. We pulled our daughter from this dance studio because she was exposed to very inappropriate dance moves and songs even though she was in one of the youngest classes there. The outfits, song choices, choreography and culture were far too … “college girl in the club” for our families liking. And of course, at 4 years old - she just stares at the older girls and soaks up their behavior. I would highly suggest that Christian or homeschool parents who are attempting to limit or control their children’s “worldly experiences and exposures” find a more age appropriate dance organization. People working there were kind and this is not a personal attack - it’s objectively a structure I would warn any parent against participating in with their children. If you’d like to know details as to why I chose to walk out of the hip-hop/urban nutcracker performance - I’d love to share them, but cannot here as my words would likely flag the post as “fake” or inappropriate - as such I’ve attached a photo of my wife and daughter from the actual nutcracker event we participated in to verify we were indeed customers.

March 24 · Molly BrendleAmazing dance studio with incredible dancers and teachers. The Recital space they use every year is absolutely beautiful and is an amazing experience. This is our favorite dance studio in the north georgia mountains!.
July 26 · Stephanie CExcellent teachers and a supportive, family atmosphere. So glad our daughter got involved with this group when we relocated to Blairsville
February 12 · jay smithI have been going to bdp for almost 2 years now. I guess my class is more of a branch off of the dance project but if it wasn’t for this place it wouldn’t be possible to experience what I have and I am very grateful for the owners and the roof they have offered for us to practice under :)
