Positioned as a dedicated Preschool and Performing Arts School, Tip Tap Grow integrates high-quality, licensed childcare with a curriculum centered around the transformative power of the arts. Their mission is to provide a nurturing, safe, and trauma-informed environment where the youngest members of our community can develop crucial life skills through creative expression.
Serving children across a broad spectrum of early childhood stages, from Infant and Toddler care through comprehensive Early Childhood Education for preschool-aged children, Tip Tap Grow distinguishes itself with a holistic educational philosophy. The core of their offering is the Performing Arts Preschool model, which skillfully blends academic readiness with daily instruction in Dance, Music, and creative drama. This approach is rooted in the belief that the arts are not separate from education but are the very tools through which education is most effectively taught.
The educational method is a vibrant trifecta: a Montessori-inspired framework provides structure and encourages independence, Play Based Learning fosters curiosity and critical thinking, and a focus on Performing Arts aids in nervous system regulation, self-expression, and confidence. This combination helps Oregon children develop skills that are essential for long-term success, including social awareness, emotional intelligence, focus, and collaboration. Children at Tip Tap Grow are given consistent opportunities to sing, play, dance, and express themselves musically, resulting in well-rounded individuals ready for their next academic step.
The commitment to a safe and loving environment is central to the school's operation. While past personnel issues are a matter of public record and should prompt all parents to conduct their own thorough vetting, many long-time community members who know the school's founder personally speak highly of the owner's unwavering morals, values, and high expectations for safety and loving care. These community voices assert that children in this care are "LOVED, CARED FOR IMMENSELY, and above all else, SAFE," highlighting the passion and dedication that fuel this one-of-a-kind educational experience in Eugene. The school's ultimate goal is to see every child leave feeling empowered, carrying invaluable lessons in communication, problem-solving, and resilience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Where do I even begin?I got hired here 3 months postpartum, things were ok for awhile. Then I started noticing just how subpar this childcare center is, they hire substitutes who have absolutely no idea what they’re doing, that itself is absolutely wild and dangerous to the children. Employment here sucked, The owner makes you scared to call out (from my personal experience.) If she was in a bad mood, everybody would feel it, and in turn would walk on eggshells around her. They admin would switch your schedule with no communication and on multiple occasions we were payed late (having to wait an extra 10 or so days to pay rent is detrimental) I had no problems with Matt, the co owner, during my employment, my issues solely lay with the treatment I received from Drea. I was talked to about how I was feeling postpartum alone in a room with the owner, some may think this is innocent, but I felt extremely uncomfortable. I was fired based off a false allegation, and I truly believe they wanted to make something up to get rid of me simply because I was not liked. If they truly believed I was a “negligent” teacher, why would they leave me alone in a classroom for a full week? That’s how you know that allegation is false. Not only was I employed here, my child attended here. My dairy free child was given another child’s bottle, an 8 ounce bottle that was whole milk based, and it seemed that they brushed the situation off. My baby was miserable for days after that situation.I was already planning on quitting for a few reasons, but was not expecting to be fired so suddenly, they cut my hours, then fired me. This made me lose my housing and my car. Sub standard child care and terrible employment, you’d be much happier finding someplace else that is not just in it for the money. July 09 · Ashley Hannigan
- I have SO many amazing, wonderful and beautiful things to say about not just this business, but about the owner/founder/director/educator. I have know this person who opened Tip Tap Grow for close to a decade now. I not only danced with her in a company right here in Eugene, I also try to take any class that she offers for adults around town when she does them, but she also taught dance to my daughter when she was 6 and 7 years old (she is 13 now). One thing that I can tell anybody who asks me, is that I can trust with my entire being that my daughter would be LOVED, CARED FOR IMMENSELY, and above all else, SAFE while in her care.Tip Tap Grow is a one of a kind place with a unique approach to helping the youngest humans learn, grow and actually get to express themselves and be accepted for that. I have never had a child go here, but I know who the owner/founder is, I know what her values and morals are and overall who she is at heart. I completely know how she is with children and how high her expectations are to have a safe and loving place for these children. I wouldn’t want my child to go anywhere but here if she were this little still. I wish Tip Tap Grow was available when my daughter was super young, it probably would have help me along the way too! I say if you’re considering this as a place for your child, I say do it! You won’t have any regrets! March 05 · Keisha Stepisnik
- If the director spent half the energy she’s spent on trying to keep her former employees from speaking out against the treatment they received while working for her and what they’ve witnessed at her “school” we’d all be better people. Kids running into the parking lot is true. No support for teachers is true. The building is falling apart. Maintenance is nonexistent. These people will prioritize profit over your child’s well-being. I am sure they will call me a liar, deflection seems to be more important than actual accountability. There’s no way all of the former employees is lying. 0/10 don’t send your kids here. Also she’s a mid dancer at best. And the assistant director will try and ruin your livelihood by spreading lies after you no longer work for them. Literally any other center would be better for your child. And they keep erasing my review so no one hears the truth about their business practices This place continues toBe such a disappointment…….but I will continue to post it BECAUSE THEY’VE MANAGED TO ERASE EVERY NEGATIVE REVIEW…Where are all the other real reviews? - Drea has known my twin girls since they were 3 (they're now 11) and just starting dance. Both girls adored Drea and shes always been really good with children. She was their favorite teacher! As a child care provider myself, I would definitely trust her to watch and care for my children if I had more toddlers or preschoolers. March 05 · Ann Brady
- I have known Drea since our boys were 5 years old and now 15. She is the best child care provider I have encountered. I would Not hesitate to place any of my children with her at all!!! We love Drea and Matt. She has striped hard to reach her dreams and is very worthy March 05 · Michelle Krause
